Add internal comments

Last updated: April 5, 20262 min read

Internal comments let your team leave notes, log calls, and tag updates directly on any lead — without leaving the Leads page. Comments are visible only to your team, never to borrowers.

Add a comment

Adding an internal comment on a lead
1

Find the Internal Comments column

On the Leads page, locate the Internal Comments column. Leads without comments show Add Comment in gray text.

2

Click on the comment cell

Click Add Comment (or the existing comment text) to open the full comments thread.

3

Type your comment

A comment panel opens showing the full conversation thread. Type your note in the text editor at the bottom. You can use rich text formatting and @mentions to tag team members — just type @ to see the list of available people.

4

Click Add Comment

Click the Add Comment button to post your note. The comment appears in the thread immediately, and the Leads table cell updates with a preview of your latest comment.

Comment features

  • @Mentions — Type @ in the editor to mention a team member. They'll be notified of the comment.
  • Call logging — Use the Log Call dropdown to record a call status alongside your comment.
  • Tags — Add tags to categorize your comments for easy reference later.
  • Edit and delete — Click the three-dot menu (...) on any comment to edit or delete it. Edited comments show an (Edited) label.
Note:

Comments from mandate sources are read-only and cannot be edited or deleted.

How comments appear on the table

The Leads table shows a preview of the most recent comment in each cell, including:

  • A truncated snippet of the comment text
  • The timestamp (e.g., 01:35 PM, 03 Apr 2026)
  • The author's name (e.g., by Jayprakash)

Hover over a comment cell to see the full text in a tooltip. Click to open the complete thread.

Tip:

Use internal comments to track the progress of each lead — log calls, note next steps, and flag issues for your team.
