Unlock and refresh report data
When you first open a company's AICA Report, some sections may be locked. Unlocking pulls live data from external sources — company registries, credit bureaus, compliance databases, and more.
Unlock sections
Click Unlock/Refresh
In the left sidebar of the AICA Report, click the Unlock/Refresh button at the top.
Select the sections to unlock
A modal appears listing all available sections with checkboxes. Each section shows its current status (Locked or Unlocked) and when it was last fetched. Select the sections you want to unlock, or click Select All to unlock everything.
Confirm and wait
Click Confirm to start fetching data. The sidebar shows a spinner next to each section being processed. Data typically loads within a few seconds, but complex sections may take up to 90 seconds.
Available sections to unlock

| Related Parties | Directors, subsidiaries, holding companies, associates, and their risk profiles |
| Compliances | GST and EPF filing status from government records |
| Legal and Risk Checks | Litigation history, AML/PEP screening |
| Credit Bureau | CIBIL scores and credit reports for key officials |
| Audited Financials | Financial statements from MCA filings |
Unlock from the Overview page
You can also unlock directly from the Overview section. If the Overview is locked, you'll see a message — "Unlock Overview to view remaining sections" — with an Unlock Overview button. Clicking it unlocks the Overview and its sub-sections (Audited Financials, Shareholding Pattern, Charges, Funding Timelines, Management Profile, and Employees).
Refresh existing data
Already unlocked a section but want the latest data? Use the same Unlock/Refresh button — select the sections you want to refresh and confirm. AICA will pull fresh data from the source.
You can see when each section was last fetched in the Unlock/Refresh modal. Use this to decide which sections need a refresh.
While data is loading
- The sidebar shows a spinner next to sections being fetched
- The Unlock/Refresh button changes to Fetching Data while any section is processing
- You can continue browsing other sections while data loads in the background
If a section takes longer than expected, check back after a minute. Complex data pulls — especially Credit Bureau and Audited Financials — may take up to 90 seconds to complete.
